Getting Published Questions

LongFic is a dedicated platform for immersive, multi-chapter stories where readers unlock chapters as they go. It's built to support long-form storytelling while offering a monetization model that rewards authors directly. LongFic is a sister platform to Short Story Lovers, both part of Lutiv Publishing Co.

Stories are selected from Short Story Lovers. If your story meets the criteria, you'll receive an email invitation to approve it for LongFic. Once approved, it will go live on LongFic. You should also check publishing guidelines of Short Story Lovers

Currently, all stories are sourced from Short Story Lovers. If you'd like to be considered, publish your multi-chapter story there first.

Stories are chosen based on quality, number of chapters, reader engagement, and editorial judgment. We prioritize stories with strong storytelling, consistent updates, and positive reader feedback.

You'll receive an email notification with your story's title, a link to review it, and options to approve or defer publishing. You'll also see the story listed in the Stories for LongFic section of your author dashboard.

Monetization & Earnings Questions

Every time a reader unlocks a chapter using paid coins, you earn a share of that revenue. The more readers continue with your story, the more you earn.

A portion of the coins spent by readers goes directly to the author. Your earnings, including the exact percentage and chapter-wise breakdown, are transparently displayed in your Author Dashboard.

Payments are made monthly once you cross the minimum payout threshold. You can set up your payment details in the Payout section of the Author Hub on Short Story Lovers.

No. Publishing on LongFic is completely free for selected authors.

The first few chapters of every story are automatically free so readers can sample it. After that, chapter pricing and promotions are managed by the platform to balance reach and earnings effectively.

Managing Stories & Chapters Questions

Absolutely. Any updates you publish on Short Story Lovers will automatically sync to LongFic. Major updates may be reviewed.

Consistency helps build your reader base. Bi-weekly updates are ideal, but quality matters more than speed.

Not initially. In the near future we'll offer exclusive publishing agreements for authors who want dedicated support and revenue guarantees.

Some stories get an exclusive contract with LongFic. If you haven't, then yes — you can publish elsewhere.
